Superb resonance from these wonderful tuned wind chimes from Woodstock Percussion. The Woodstock Chimes of Apollo

Made from extra thick-walled, specially suspended aluminium tubes, these Windsinger Chimes resonate much longer than any other wind chimes, producing enduring harmonies, with pure, ringing overtones. This is no ordinary wind chime.

All Woodstock Chimes are tuned, and sound beautiful, but the 84 inch (213 cm) tall Apollo, sounds out of this world. The huge size of the Chime makes it a great feature for any garden and will make a great conversation piece.

I have just created a medative music track, that uses samples, which I recorded of the Woodstock Chimes of Apollo. The track is called And the wind blows and it is free to download to iTunes, iPod or .mp3 player of choice. My friend Chris Cooke composed a wonderful piece called Rock Garden using samples from the MacIDOL Sample Bank too.

I recorded the chimes using a Blue Baby Bottle microphone, Digidesign MBox and composed the piece in Apple Logic Pro 7 on my PowerBook.
